There are two guides to read, which can be found below in our Downloads section or on the Sefton Council admissions page - Sefton Parents Guide to School Admissions 2026 and Admissions Schools Information Guide 2026 (Great Crosby information is on pages 41 and 42).
We will shortly be inviting parents and carers into school for tours. Please return to check for dates.
Please read our Admissions Criteria. If you have a baptismal certificate, then please complete the Supplementary Information Form and return it to school. If you do not have a baptismal certificate, then you will also need to complete the Archdiocesan Supplementary Faith Form.
Parents/carers are invited to apply for a place in the nursery at any point during the academic year (1st September – 31st August) in which their child reaches his/her second birthday. Nursery places are usually allocated in late March/April prior to the September intake.
The date of application will apply in the case of over-subscription.
In the downloads section there is a parental declaration form for universal entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds. This is a mandatory declaration for all parents/carers accessing Early Years education for their child.
The government provides funding for schools to help children from lower income families, called 'Pupil Premium'. There is also funding for children who are entitled to the Disability Living Allowance. Please read section 3 carefully, if you think you may be entitled to these.
If you are new to the area or wish to transfer your child, please click on the green button below.
You are very welcome to come and see our school.

In Sefton, all schools provide for the admission of children in the September following their fourth birthday and most parents/carers are happy for their child to start school at this point. By law, a child is not required to start full time education until the child has reached compulsory school age. Most children will thrive if they are admitted into reception class aged four. However, some parents/carers may be concerned that their child is not ready for school at that age. The full policy is below in the downloads section.
