Welcome to Year 3! We are thrilled to be your new class teachers this year. We have an exciting year ahead of us, packed with learning, laughter and new experiences.
Firstly, we want you to know that we are here to support you every step of the way. Our goal is to create classrooms where everyone feels happy, safe, and ready to learn. We will explore fascinating topics including The Ancient Egyptians in History and Climate in Geography. Throughout the year there will be plenty of opportunities for you to share your ideas and talents. Additionally, we have a couple of exciting trips lined up for you as well as a Year 3 play. We will also be focusing on building our reading and writing skills, and we can't wait to discover the wonderful stories you will create.
Please remember that our classroom is a place where kindness, respect, and teamwork are valued. We encourage you to always be supportive of one another and to try your best in everything you do. Mistakes are just part of the learning process, and we will learn and grow together.
PE - Please ensure your child comes into school wearing their PE kit and trainers on their PE days:
Indoors - Thursday PM
Outdoors - Friday AM

Well done to all of Year 3 for their performances today of Into the Forest written by our Year 6 Writing Club, inspired by Anthony Browne. Here are some photos of them in their costumes.
We joined schools across the UK for Walk in White, a simple but powerful way to raise awareness and vital funds for lung cancer research and support for everyone affected by lung cancer.
On World Cancer Day, pupils and staff wore something white and took part in a school-organised walk — celebrating hope, community, and progress in cancer research. It was a cold day so some people’s white items were covered by coats!
It was organised by the Roy Castle Foundation which is based in Liverpool.
We've been practising our measuring skills.
Some photos of Year 3's visit The Atkinson, Southport, which included time in the museum and a workshop about the Egyptians.
3M created some of their own poems after researching poems by Brian Patten.
